The Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Public Transit Funding Needs

At the request of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), EBP analyzed how the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic has affected the revenues and funding needs of public transit agencies nationwide. Specifically, EBP conducted an analysis of impacts on farebox revenue, local and state transit funding, and transit capital spending and jobs to inform discussion in the Congress and state legislatures about transit agency loss and need. Boston Clean Energy Programs Review

EBP conducted a two-year review examining the effectiveness of the (Boston) Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) portfolio of community-oriented Clean Energy activities and programs, under funding by the Barr Foundation. Nantucket COVID-19 Survey
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, EBP assisted the Nantucket Economic Survey Team (NEST) by conducting an online survey to organizations with activities on the island. EBP Helps Kentucky Win INFRA Grant for Rural Highway
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) recently won a $55 million US Department of Transportation Infrastructure For Rebuilding America (INFRA) grant with help from an EBP economic analysis. The grant will help the KYTC upgrade a section of the Mountain Parkway that passes through Appalachian Eastern Kentucky. Read More

For Michigan DOT, EBP is part of the team developing the 2045 State Long-Range Transportation Plan (SLRTP), which includes the state freight, rail and comprehensive multi-modal plans.
